*** REPLACE THIS LINE WITH YOUR MESSAGE *** I was just reading over some points that Chico Esquala (former Mets second baseman) made in his now famous book, "Bad Stuff 'Bout the Mets." Some interesting points are: 1. Tom Seaver (now of the Sox) always took up two parking spaces. 2. Yogi Berra very, very bad card player. 3. Jerry Koosman tells his wife his salary is half that which it really is. Recall back then how shocking and disrupting this book was in the world of baseball. Today if this came out, I would bet that it would if little if not any impact. In the words of Don Drysdale, nobody would bat an eyelash, or is that I never threw at their eyelashes, just their bats? As most of you remember Chico wrote this book after his retirement, and then tried to make a comback at 42. The bad feelings that the book fostered remained and Chico never was able to make it big again. gene foster ihu1m!ewf
