I seem to recall reading an article in the paper about 3 weeks ago that ABC was clarifying their position on the World Series. It was not their intention to force the Cubs to play away from home. They were exercising their option to have the World Series played at night if the Cubs didn't make it. If the Cubs did make it, then ABC would not force them to play at night, but they wouldn't pay the extra money to MLB, either. This seems a really reasonable way to handle this situation. Here's my candidate for the triple play quiz: Runners on first and second, nobody out. Batter hits a high popup to the shortstop and is declared out because of the infield fly rule. Runner on first rounds second anyway and passes the runner there, so he is out. Runner on second is mesmerized by the ball and it lands on his head while he is standing off the base. The shortstop is the nearest fielder in each case, so he gets an unassisted triple play. -- ARPA: David.Nichols@cmu-cs-h.arpa UUCP: {seismo,decvax,allegra}!rochester!cmu-cs-pt!cmu-cs-h!nichols
