I still think that the people that would like to see day baseball in Chicago are being made to be the bad guys in all this, and it's hard when you have the Tribune, WGN (a subsidiary of the Tribune Company), AND David Rubin all wielding their mighty swords against you. Baseball the business will inevitably win out in the end anyway, so... As far as the All-Canada Series goes - could someone tell me which is farther north - Milwaukee or Toronto? I think they must be fairly close. The World Series in Milwaukee was glorious in October, even though in Wisconsin I've been through snow in October and May a number of times. The weather in Milwaukee is usually much worse in April than in October. I've beened "snowed out" of games twice at County Stadium in April. Gary Carter: I have a strange feeling about him, too, but in a different vain. I want to somehow dislike him, but I don't. He's always struck me as a blunt, but basically honest person who is a heck of a catcher. I saw the play in Chicago where he tried for the double, and I think normally a ball hit in the gap like his would cause any player to try for two. It was just one of those things. THIS IS NOT TO SAY THAT I AM A METS FAN (ha). Yours, Jon Hanrath ihnp4!ltuxa!jmh
