I completely agree with your assessment of Harry Caray.  However, I believe
Steve Stone is a good broadcaster.  He provides decent strategic analysis
and just enough statistics to properly describe a player's performance without
boring you.

Just a side note about Steve Stone--I'm glad he's in the broadcast booth instead
of on the field.  I'm still burning about the decision in 1980 to give him
the Cy Young Award 25-7 3.40 (or so) over Mike Norris 22-9 2.54.  Mike Norris
was simply awesome that year and pitched for .500 team.  Steve Stone pitched
for a ballclub that won 100 games.  Mike Norris will probably never get another
chance to win that award.  There has been a tendency to give Baltimore/New York
pitchers the Cy Young award in recent years (last fifteen).
