On what basis is the golden glove awarded to a fielder? Is it the most number of put-outs, least amount of errors or some other criteria. Send mail and if anyone requests I'll summarize the responses. Thanks -- Steve Grice philabs!micomvax!steve

I just wanted to thank all the people that responded to my question on how the golden gloves are awarded to the players. It seems from the majority of the answers that the baseball writers simply vote at the end of the season for a player, who in their estimation has been the best fielder at that position. All the votes are tabulated and the player with the most votes wins the golden glove. Q: Can a golden glove be awarded to two players at the same position? For example: If player A receives 20 votes, and player B the same can the glove be awarded to both or is another vote taken? Q: Who chooses the "baseball writers"? Is one chosen from each city? Thanks for any help -- Steve Grice philabs!micomvax!steve
