Howard is simply a frustrated old man and a frustrated old Brooklyn Dodger fan. He takes his aggressions out on people trying to snow them with his verbose, expansive vocabulary. People, like me, he feasts upon, attempting to coerce one into making remarks which makes him look like a hero. If you're smart, like Frank Gifford's usual treatment of Howard, you simply ignore the old fool. He knows nothing about sports, other than what he thinks he's learned over the past years as a broadcaster. It's a damn shamed he's learned very little, for alas, you can't teach an old dog new tricks. ABC, if you hear us out there, wake up! Put someone in Howard's spot that knows baseball, and can add something constructive to the broadcast, other than how many girlfriends a player has or whether that player might be holding a seance next week to rid himself of some curse. Then you might see how much Howard can really shake, as you noticed; he's destroying my set with the additional vibration the set has to experience. \ / |\\ / | | \| | | |\ | | | \| John B.
