[net.sport.baseball] lost no hitter

There have been more than a dozen lost no hitters, but the one that really
stands out to me is one that was lost by Tom Hughes 5-0 in 9 innings. There
were a few walks, and a lot of errors.

OK, trivia buffs how about the following: If the pitcher for the _visiting_
team throws a losing no-hitter, is it technically a no-hitter since he
didn't pitch the bottom of the ninth? (assuming that the home team scored
the winning run before the ninth inning). If the answer to the above
question is yes, then other questions come to mind:
	1. Has there ever been such an 8-inning lost no-hitter?
	2. How about an 8-1/3 and/or 8-2/3 inning lost no-hitter?
