It is interesting watching the World Series this year and noting the little red stars next to each players season stats. It seems that, at least near the top of the order, every Cardinal's player has the little red star next to most or all of his season stats. If you didn't know, the little red star indicates *Career high*. I will also say that the reason the Cardinal team speed was such a big factor this season is because the league as a whole hit poorly, while speed and defense remained (as usual). So, although the Cardinals did not hit with a lot of power, neither did anyone else. This makes team speed a greater factor of total team output than it would have been in an *average* year. Too bad for all the injuries. The CUBS will be back !!! Dave Van Handel
