[net.sport.baseball] Explain Trillo to Cubs, please

Can someone who's read the Chicago papers tell me what the Cubs view of the
Trillo trade is?   Is Trillo:

a).  Simply a back-up infielder, along with Speier

b).  Play second-base, moving Sandberg back to third...

     1). ...and Cey's contract get's eaten

     2). ...and Cey is an extraordinarily high-paid sub/pinch-hitter

     3). ...and Cey is bought out of his no-trade clause and dealt
            to the American League as a DH>

c.)  Shifted to third base, with variations noted in b.) above.

Supposedly, Trillo will be the defensive replacement at third in the late
(4th?) innings.  Frey also said he would use him at second to rest Sandberg
sometimes.
