I thought is was interesting that the big name free agents (FISK, GIBSON, MOORE), who were supposed to be light years apart from signing with their respective teams suddenly signed at the deadline. Since I like the Sox, I was glad to see Fisk stay with the team. I was also confused by the attempts to trade him to NY for BAYLOR. Many of the "so called experts" said that would be a good trade for the Sox even up but the way I see it NY would have clearly gotten the better of the deal. Since they are about the same age it seems that Fisk is the more desirable player to have since he can still catch, play a little OF and DH. Everyone knows Fisk is a good hitter and he had a great year; whereas Baylor is also a good hitter but he can only DH. Why would any team want Baylor over Fisk (who's also known for taking good care of his body, staying in great shape year round)? -- ......................................... .
