[net.sport.baseball] PROPER USE OF "RE"

rokhsar@batcomputer.TN.CORNELL.EDU (Dan Rokhsar) (03/05/86)

I hate to be a stickler for details, but to look at the "subjects" of most
recent articles, one would think that they're all about the trivial pursuit
question about the Twins, since many say "RE: Trivial Pursuit error."
The articles, however, have wandered far afield of the original posting.

How about some "truth in posting"? If your posting refers to a comment
made by someone in a comment on a posting that no longer refers to the
original posting, DON'T say RE: Re "Original Posting"; people who might be
interested will skip it without ever reading your insightful and interesting
comments!

			Thanks,
