#N:whuxlb:5800001:000:644 whuxlb!eric Sep 3 15:56:00 1982 There are times, even, in rogue, where you wish something, anything or everything would happen, just to save you from boredom and frustration brought on by forgettfulness: Sometime last summer (version 3.6), someone came up to me to show me a game in which they were 'hung'. Sure enough, he was trapped in a doorway, with rust monsters to either side. But, he said, 'i have this cool sword', and he proceeded to smack at a rust monster about twenty times without a hit. Frustrating. We finally (after a while), got around to dooing an inventory. He had been banging away for days with armor, not weapon. Frustrating embarrassing.......
