From this point you can throw arrows diagonally at the terrible pupil while it cannot touch you. This also works well at bends in corridors. Be warned that while you are throwing arrows, the monster in front of you will be beating you to a pulp. This works as well for leprechauns, ants and other monsters you wish to avoid contact with.
