In general, I don't have too much to say on the specific allowance of the use of the bat. Waht really irks me is that in my opinion Brett should have been heavily fined/ censured for his behaviour in charging the ump (from the videotape, it looked like he would have literally beated the ump if he hadn't been restrained. Technically, his actions constiture assault on the ump, and battery on the guys who retrained him. But was any action taken???????????? NO!!@#%^& And furthermore, none of the sportcasters even commented upon this issue! Why not? Didn't anyone else find that reprehensible??? Ihor Kinal hou5e!ijk
