A short description of the differences. In England, a win counts as three points. In Scotland, the top division (Premier League) teams play each other four times. In the USSR, only ten draws may count for points. If you get an eleventh draw, you do not get any points. There is a country, I forget which, which gives no points for a 0-0 draw. In England and Scotland, there is a League Cup as well. This is open only to teams in the League. In England, it is called the "Milk Cup", because it is sponsored by the Milk marketing board.
