I see the first round of the English FA Cup was played this weekend too.

If there is enough interest I will continue to post these every 2 weeks or
so or mail to people individualy. There shouldn't be too many problems as
there is not very much on this group. If there ARE complaints I suggest a new

For those curious as to what the different numbers mean ( and for those
not familier with the layout I use )
The first "P" means #games played
	   W means #games won
D games drawn ( or tied for you americans :-)
           L games lost
	   F means #goals for
	   A goals against
The second "P" is the number of points.
The point system is 3 for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss
There are 22 teams in each (of the 4) division (That's for English League)

This is for 24/25 November ( paper was late this week )

Second Division

It's still difficult to tell what's happening here because of the
difference in number of games played but Man City is looking good.

It's two weeks to go with an average of about 4 games left ( max is 42 ).
Just about everything has been decided.

FA cup finalists are Everton and Manchester United to play at Wembly
on 19th May ( I think ). It's the first time I can remember the two
top teams ( assuming ManU stay there which they probably won't )
have played in the final ( ie since about '74 ). Note that if Everton
wins then they have the coverted 'double'. I think Arsenal were the
last to get this in about '72. ( All corrections welcomed )

I HATE to be a crab and a pain in the neck, BUT....... your listings are
very nice for "top-of-first and top-of-second division fans", but if you have
the FULL league listings from The Manchester Guardian Weekly, I for one would
greatly appreciate you reporting the FULL listings!

I am a Derby County fan (yes, there are some of us around, and we STILL remember
the good ol' days when Derby won Championships and even mangaged to get to
the semi-final of the European Cup!) and I understand that Derby are HOT in the
third division this season. I'm starved for news. I keep hearing weeks old
news that Derby were second to Reading, with games in hand. What's happening
out there??? Did we EVER get by Sheffield Wednesday in the F.A. Cup? Last I
heard we had to replay at Hillsboro

Thanks for your listings, but I and other third and fourth division fanatics
are REALLY lost without news. Now, if you think lack of news of Derby is
frustrating for me, I have a friend here in the USA who comes from
Scunthorpe... he doesn't even know if his team still plays!!!!

If ANY fellow Englishmen/women back in Blighty can help out, please do!
