I am desperately in need of some information concerning
the performance of the PDP-11/44, especially as compared
to the 11/23, which seems to be happy with a maximum
of about 3 users. I have only gotten frustrated trying
to compare instruction times from the back of DEC books.
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has
experience with an 11/44, 11/23, or both!
I am also curious about how much faster the UNIBUS is
than the Q-BUS at handling i/o.
Also, has anyone benchmarked the two side by side?
