As already stated, you may run into the problem of not having enough
disk space. However, this simply means that you'll have to be careful
as to what files you decide to keep on line. Once you have a running
system, it's not really necessary to keep the sources to everything on
disk. For example, if you have some sort of network connection to a
larger machine then you could keep them there.

A more serious problem that you may face involves the size of the 11/34
memory space. This machine is limited to 128K words of memory, and also
does not support seperate i/d space. My experience is that in a
multi-user environment these restraints force the machine to spend a
good deal of it's time swapping jobs in and out. This can lead to
horrible performance.

An alternative is to get a device such as the Enable34 from Able, which
will allow you to expand past the 128K limit, but you also have to dump
your current memory boards in favor of 11/44 memory boards. Also, most
flavors of Unix do not come with support for this device, although I
understand that Berkeley 2.9BSD will have the proper code. You'll still
be stuck with a non-split i/d machine, but you shouldn't have to spend
so much time swapping.
