[net.unix] Unix Benchmark

Jiml%su-score@sri-unix.UUCP (12/19/83)

From: Jim Lewinson <Jiml@su-score>

In the June Issue of "Unique", there is an article about a fairly
simple benchmark for Unix Systems. It measures the time needed for
Disk and Terminal I/O, and CPU Intensive activities, under conditions
of low and high load. It takes about 2 hours to run, most of which
you can spend reading a good book.

If you are interested in running it let me know and I will send you a
copy. If there is enough interest, I will summarize the results to
the net.
