Is it me or is there a problem with the Vi editor command "control B"? If a number is prefixed to the command the editor clears the screen or worse, locks up the terminal. Another problem that comes up every once in a while is using "p" after deleting part of a line with "D". Using "p" at the end of the line sometimes creates garbled words at the end. Does Vi have a problem or me?

Someone posted a fix for the ^B-bug a long time ago. The problem is
that the code for ^B has a "+" where it should have a "-" (or maybe
it's the other way around). Look around in /usr/src/cmd/ex.
