. ...i'm trying to port a slightly modified SysIII SCCS from one of the 4.1 '780's to a 4.2 780, and, after making some minor mods in a section dealing with directories, got it to compile and load w/o serious flaws...but it doesn't do anything interesting except create 0-length files with screwy permissions set. ...i'd rather use someone elses' hacks right now, if anyone has a version of SCCS (SysIII or SysV no problem, we've got licenses to spare) that runs under 4.2; ...and can someone tell me what kind of software Eric Allman's "sccs" interface is expecting to find in "/usr/local/<name>", and from where, and is the source part of the (4.2) distribution? much thx doug <..!allegra!eosp1!elias>
