[net.unix] `prof' seemingly can't handle over 1<<16 text space.

References:

I have been doing bottleneck analysis of a program with approx
64Kb (1<<16) text space and it appears like the `prof' command
dies (with core dump) whenever the text space exceedes that
amount. I have learned that this is a known bug. Does anyone
know the whereabouts of a fixed version, or any other useful
information?
