From: Ron Natalie <ron@BRL-TGR.ARPA> Foo, now in addition to having received ten copies of UNIX/WORLD, I am starting to get these stupid bills for them. Screw you, UNIX/WORLD, any prospect of getting me to subscribe was lost by using that inane tactic. Do you think you can sucker the UNIX community that easily? -Ron

I to recieve UNIX/World. How I got it I have no idea. I do work with UNIX; in fact I know UNIX very well. I don't plan to pay them if they bill me. I am going cancel as soon as I get the energy up to call. As a parting shot, I think UNIX/World is not very good. -- Robert Connaghan Microprocessor Group AT&T Bell Labs - Holmdel, N.J. houxu!rbc

I also started getting "free" copies of UNIX/WORLD after I picked up the first issue at the Washington conference. After getting two or three issues I started getting bills and then notices that I hadn't paid my bill yet! I would like to hear from others who have had the same experience and maybe we can send a group letter of complaint to the magazine and the proper authorities (attorney general?, post office?). Please reply to me by mail and I will post a summary of how many of us are in the same position. The thing that irked me the most was that I liked the magazine and was about to sumbit a subscription when they started this foolishness and lost me forever. -- Dave Brierley Raytheon Co.; Portsmouth RI; (401)-847-8000 x4073 ...!decvax!brunix!rayssd!dhb ...!allegra!rayssd!dhb ...!linus!rayssd!dhb
