[net.unix] cu receive redirect

  I have gotten a number off messages which confirm that one
can not redirect input from the console using the ~>file cmd.
This does limit the use of cu for communication with non-UNIX
sytems, ie, this one, to copy messages or text.
  This is not documented in the manual.
  Can anyone suggest another program that will perform this
function? If not, can some UNIX expert
revise the cu program or is this an inherent problem with
UNIX?
