I am using ptrace calls on perpetually dormant processes to get extended print symbol memory for a LISP interpreter. Unfortunatly, although this technique gets me a great deal of auxillary memory, it is very hard on my OS, causing an ls run by another user to take a little over 4 minutes of real time. IS THERE ANOTHER WAY TO GET LOTS OF REAL DATA MEMORY?? USMAIL: Mark Mullin Merlinus Polytech Ltd. POB 2545 Manassas, VA 22110
