The December issue of Dr. Dobbs should be of interest to UNIX fans.
John Bass has an article on UNIX device drivers with some very valuable
comments on efficiency of disk and serial drivers.  John Rogers has
an annotated bibliography of papers relating to UNIX internals.  There
are a few other UNIX-related articles, too, but either of the above
is easily worth the price of the magazine.
