I'd like to know of an editor for Berkeley 4.1 UNIX which can be used to edit arbitrary binary files. In particular . . . 1) It should have no line length limitation. 2) It should not complain about, strip, or modify nulls or characters past 0x7F, i.e. gracefully handle all 8-bit bytes. D. Many of the EMACS derivatives (well, certainly Gosling's does) have this feature. -Ron
