Does anyone out there know if there exists a version of EMACS (or JOVE) that will run on a UNIX System V? If so, where can it be gotten? Thanks very much. thieb@bnl.arpa

At ATT they run Warren Montgomery's EMACS under System V. This looks like RMS EMACS but has little internal similarity. There is a somewhat TECO-like macro language. This EMACS is ATT proprietary and I do not believe it is included as part of the releases. MINE probably runs under System V.

Montgomery's Emacs is being sold through the AT&T Toolchest.

It's about time!

Thanks very much. > thieb@bnl.arpa ATT is now offering a version of EMACS for Sys V. To get more details, use cu or a terminal & modem of some type, and dial the AT&T ToolChest System (running on a 3B2 computer in New Jersey) at 201-522-6900. Login as "guest" and simply follow the menu prompts. It's a very simple system to use. -- --Dwight Ernest KA2CNN \ Usenet:...vax135!timeinc!dwight Time Inc. As to how you can get ahold of it, I haven't the foggiest.
