[net.unix] INed on PC/IX

km@emory.UUCP (Ken Mandelberg) (02/25/85)

Is it possible to use the PC/IX version of INed on terminals
other than the console? PC/IX comes with a 'termcap' database,
but none of the INed doc seems to refer to it.

I see that INed is now an IX/370 product. It must be useable
on other ascii terminals, although I suppose the PC/IX version
might be me more limited.

I'm tired of using ed, and the console is inconveniently located
for me.

	Ken,
From what I know, INed on PC/IX talks DIRECTLY to the screen memory.
Therefore you can not use it from another terminal.
