Salute to GNU !!

Here on the ARPAnet, I think we oughta have a public repository for
GNU code in the manner of SIMTEL-20 for CP/M. Once we pass critical
mass, this could be a great source of golden programs.

Unfortunately, I cannot offer my own site ... (a) we don't allow
anonymous FTP, (b) we have very limited filespace, (c) our umbilical
cord is only 9600 baud.

The preferred packaging probably would be "shar" files.

Harvard might be able to act as a public repository for GNU.  It is
an arpanet site, and we do allow anonymous ftp.
