I'm sorry if this is an old subject, but I missed any previous discussions - if there were any. I need to be able to hook up an HP Laser Jet printer to a VAX 11/780 running Ultrix/4.2BSD. I tried to put it on a DZ line, and all I got was blank pages and/or garbage. Using cat I get mangled buffers - overflowing on the printer, etc. With spooling, I get blank pages. Any ideas at all on the best method to get this to work? I guess a good concise printcap entry would work. Any pointers/info will be appreciated. Please reply via mail, and I'll summarize to the net if desired.
