Does anybody out there, know anyting about existence Fortran-77 to 
"C" translators?

Any such translator would have to include a large run-time support
library (or use F77's) to provide operations on data types that
are not built into C, to perform formatted I/O, etc.  The
translated source would be pretty hard to deal with.  Why would
you want such a translator instead of a compiler?

I just got a letter from Lifeboat Associates in New York describing
a product called 'FORTRIX-C'. It is billed as a translator that converts
Fortran code to C code. It does not specify Fortran-77 just says
standard Fortran. It is available for IBM-PC and VMS. There phone
number is 212-860-0300. Address is 1651 Third Ave., New York, NY 10128.

But I don't know anything about the quality/problems with it.
