Does this mean the 8th edition also changes the 5120 character
environment and argument space limit?  I very often run with about 4k of
environment, and it's oh, so fun to watch things fail to run because
there's 1k (1/2 screen) of arguments.  Is anyone else having these problems?

If my aliases and functions were in there too, I think I'd need > 20k.
