Is it possible, and has anyone done anything in getting UNIX to read dump tapes made on TOPS-20? Does anyone know the dump format on TOPS-20? Help, I'm lost and confused again, Jeff jeff@kestrel.arpa

Whether this means it is PD I don't know, but I'm sure that someone with more knowledge about such matters could enlighten us. Paul Guthrie ihnp4!ihdev!pdg

Yes, I wrote a UNIX program to read TOPS-20 dumper tapes and have placed it in the public domain. It's been included on the Rand E/MH distribution tape and I've posted it to net.sources. Anyone who wants a copy, let me know. -- Jim Guyton arpa: guyton@rand-unix uucp: ...!{sdcrdcf,trwrb,decvax}!randvax!guyton
