                      Independent Plug
                            for
                      UNIX Primer Plus
                 by Waite, Martin, & Prata

Many people find UNIX hard to learn, I hope this helps. The
UNIX Primter Plus has been well received by many people
here, including students (professional programmers) and
secretaries. It is oriented to Berkeley UNIX users, but
there are lots of comparisons with version 7 UNIX and
"standard" UNIX. The book features lots of examples, review
quesions, and exercises at the terminal. There are some
handy reference cards. The book is much better than all the
locally developed primers I've seen at about 10 UNIX sites.
