Does anyone have a tar utility that allows to write on several tapes? The standard tar does not test the end of tape. --R.Appel

From postnews Fri Dec 6 09:01:09 1985 > Does anyone have a tar utility that allows to write on several tapes? > The standard tar does not test the end of tape. > --R.Appel I have seen tar commands with a k option in the key that allows you to specify the the size of the archive volume in kilobytes. Tar can then write several volumes, and can even split a file into "extents" across several volumes. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "I enjoy working with humans, and have John M.
