[net.unix] AT&T dropping support of DWB?

robert@gitpyr.UUCP (Robert Viduya) (12/01/85)

I just heard an ugly rumor concerning AT&T's support of the Documentors
WorkBench. From what I understand, they are going to be coming out with
a new release sometime soon and then discontinue support of it completely.
Can anyone either confirm or deny this?

The only rumor about DWB that I have heard is that Release 2.0
will include the upgraded PIC and GRAP.

I'm following up my own article just to provide some context to the following
message. Late last week, I received a call from William Letendre, Project
Manager of Documentors WorkBench at AT&T. He inferred that, yes, they were
coming out with a new release (I didn't ask for any details), and no, AT&T
will NOT be dropping support of DWB.

What kind of an organization is AT&T running, if the project manager
has to infer that a new release is coming out? Don't they tell him
ANYTHING??? :-)
