[net.unix] Extended file system on UNIX 4.2/4.3 BSD

gwyn@brl-tgr.ARPA (Doug Gwyn <gwyn>) (12/21/85)

The nice thing about truly transparent remote file systems
is that once the set-up work, which varies among implementations,
has been done, one can access remote files "the usual way".
Therefore, all transparent remote file system methods are
interchangeable without breaking applications. You can use
whatever is available and change to another approach later.
Great stuff!

(Since all wizards should already appreciate this, I changed
the posting to net.unix.)
