[net.unix] Wanted: mod. to DEC RA* driver uda.c for system dump.

ian@cirl.UUCP (Ian Boardman) (12/17/85)

The 4.2BSD driver for DEC RA* disks, /sys/vaxuba/uda.c, contains the
famous line:
/*
 * TO DO:
 *	write dump code
*/
We have only one drive, an RA81. We get the famous message:

dump device bad

when our system crashes. Consequently, we never know what hit us.
Where is this code??? This system's been out for over 2 1/2 years, and
RA disks are popular %-), so we know somebody out there must have it.
We have source licence with Mass. Inst. of Tech. Please, please,
consider putting out mods or clues as how to's, or other *helpful*
advise.  Thanks in advance.
