I am looking for a program like lex(1) to run on the IBM PC-AT under MSDOS 3.x. If you know where I can get the software, please let me know. If you've tried a lex program on the PC, I'd be interested in any comments. Also, if the software exists, which C compilers are compatible with it? I don't have their address handy, but check places like the small ads in the back of Byte. The package is fully compatible with DeSmet C (from C-Ware), and may also work with other C compilers (Lattice, Microsoft...).

Since I don't know anything about either of them, I can't speak to how complete a subset it is. But it IS free. -- Joel West (619) 457-9681 CACI, Inc. Federal, 3344 N.
