[net.unix] 3b5 file backup

harv%ksuvax1.BITNET@wiscvm.wisc.edu (Harvard Townsend) (04/30/86)

I am interested in some other tool to backup files to tape on an AT&T 3B5
running sys V rel. 2. "Volcopy" and "cpio" are inadequate. I am particularly
interested in something like 4.2BSD's "dump" and "restore" where we
can easily perform incremental dumps. I am not interested in a debate on the
relative merits of the different backup tools, just pointers to alternatives.
You can reply directly to me or to the net.
Thanks.
