[Is this line really edible?] Does anyone out there have any documentation on the Source Code Control System? I am specifically looking for the "Source Code Control System User's Guide", by L. E. Bonanni and C. A. Salemi. However, any literature would be appreciated. Thanks, Michael Lipczynski mlip@nadc

From: Doug Gwyn (VLD/VMB) <gwyn@BRL-VLD.ARPA> The most recent "Source Code Control System User Guide" is Chapter 4 of UNIX System V - Release 2.0 Support Tools Guide, doc. # 307-108, available from AT&T Technologies (no license required).

xxx Sorry, I couldn't get this over to ARPA. AT&T-Technologies (formerely Western Electric) sells a book called UNIX Support Tools Guide. It contains an updated version of the SCCS document you are looking for. The order number for this book is 341-940. -- Kenton Lee, Bell Labs - WB wb3g!kfl or hoxna!kfl

Does anyone have *complete* documentation to the SCCS commands? Documentation in the form of command summaries would be fine, as opposed to details or tutorial. I have the documentation that came from SUN; it consists of a chapter entitled "Source Code Control System", another chapter entitled "SCCS Low-Level Commands", and the man pages for 'get', etc. I don't know who decided what info went into which section, but I think they flipped coins... There also seem to be a number of undocumented flags with some of the commands, as I discovered by typing 'sccs get -' followed by each letter of the alphabet. At any rate, having the info in one place in some useful format (like that used in various "cheat-sheets" or "command summaries") would be extremely useful. -- Mike Maxwell Boeing Artificial Intelligence Center ...uw-beaver!uw-june!bcsaic!michaelm
