[net.unix] LAYERS for 4.2?

[this space for rent]

A possibly impertinent question: has anyone out there ported layers
(for the dmd5620) to BSD4.2? I took a look at the sources for sysV, and
it looked like this would be a very messy job involving kernal hacking, and
I'd really rather avoid the effort if it has already been done.

(sorry about the cross-posting, all of them seemed apprpriate)

I am actively working on the xt(4) driver under 4.3BSD. This should
also work under 4.2 with little change. However, there is a protocol
bug I have not yet traced related to the use of double buffering.
If and when this is solved, word will be posted to net.unix-wizards
and the INFO-BLIT mailing list at BRL.ARPA. If there is a DMD protocol
expert out there, I would love to hear from you.
