~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Human Sacrifice to the Line Eating Unix God!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Help me please! I am trying to send a file that I have in my account on on machine to another account on another machine. The machines are linked via uucp. There is no ethernet link, so rcp won't work, and neither will ftp. The filename is test.uucp.file The destination is an accounty with the same id (jdia), reached via the following route: aplcen!umcp-cs!seismo!rochester!ur-tut!jdia I have already tried the following commands: uucp test.uucp.file aplcen!umcp-cs!seismo!rochester!ur-tut!~jdia\test.uucp.file uusend test.uucp.file aplcen!umcp-cs!seismo!rochester!ur-tut!~jdia\test.uucp.file the uucp command returns "can't get status for file test.uucp.file" and uusend command returns "test.uucp.file: Permission denied" BTW, test.uucp.file is in my own home directory and has read and write permissions granted to user, group, and other. Also, is there any better method to use for sending files directly into an account on another machine?? Your thanks in advance...
