I have some source tapes written on a Nixdorf machine. I was told that the format is from a utility or command with a name like "write all libararies". I used dd to read the tape, converting ebcdic to ascii and got an image that seemed to have all useful data in upper case, blanks were represented as '|', and there were imbedded lower case characters with no obvious meaning, except 'o' seemed to be the line terminator. Does anyone know how to translate this format into something reasonable for Unix? A program or shell script would be great but any clues as to the meaning of the imbedded charaters would also be a big help. Thanks in advance. Keith Crews
