I am trying to find a set of nroff/troff macros that are suitable for generating memos. The "-ms" and "-me" macros don't seem to useful for this. With our old PWB (pre-version 7) UNIX system, we had a set of nroff/troff macros (the "mm" macros) that accepted a ".MT" request that could generate memos, released papers, technical memos, etc. all from the same input, that is, just by changing the memo-type. Where did these macros go, and is there anything to replace them? I know that I can generate my own memo boilerplates, but I don't think I should have to. Thanks for *any* info, Tom Perrine

The -mm macros are distributed with Documenter's WorkBench (which split off from UNIX System V as a separate add-on package). You should be able to obtain a System V Release 1 version from somebody if you have a source license for that release of the OS. (That's why they weren't in the 4BSD distribution, since it only required a UNIX/32V license.)
