[net.unix] Does your company sell a "real-time" UNIX?

geoff@desint.UUCP (Geoff Kuenning) (08/29/86)

I am currently writing a chapter on real-time for "The UNIX Papers". As
part of it, I would like to include a list of those vendors who have added
various real-time features to standard UNIX, and of those who have UNIX
lookalikes that support real-time applications. Naturally, I'd like it
to be as complete as possible.

If your company has such a product, and would like to have it listed in
the book, please send me information on your product via either U.S. or
electronic mail. If you use U.S. mail, please don't be shy about
inundating me with manuals--my mailman is a healthy fellow :-). Ideally, I'd
like to know whether you are UNIX-derived or a UNIX lookalike, and exactly
what features your system has that make it support real-time better than
standard UNIX. This is your chance to get some free advertising!

If you want to be included, though, you will have to hurry.
Information received after September 15th probably won't make it into
the final copy.

U.S. mail replies should be sent to:

Also feel free to call me (or my answering machine) at +1 213 546 6579.
