Recently we are considering porting MAGIC - a VLSI layout program from UNIX 4.2 BSD environment to a convergent super micro which runs a version of SYSTEM V. Our question, given the rumor that system V has incorporate some 4.2 BSD features, will our plan a major programming effort? Specifically, we are worry about the internal system call compatibility problem. We will be greatly appreciated if someone can give us some hint or advice. Thanks in advnace. Yuhen HU hu@smu
