I need to be able to read from and write to a file system from many VAXes running UNIX V Release 2 Version 2.0. Is this feature available from Lachman's NFS ? I am NOT familar with the features of NFS. Does Lachman's RFS run ONLY with UNIX V Release 3? Scott Bemis mcnc!rti-sel!tijc02!root

If Lachman or somebody else has an NFS for VAX S5R2 V2.0, you can do what you're trying to do. (Lachman's NFS is a "reference model", used primarily as a starting point for ports, but the "reference model" may also be a VAX version requiring no extra work.) > Does Lachman's RFS run ONLY with UNIX V Release 3? Presumably, since to the best of my knowledge RFS runs only on S5R3. -- Guy Harris {ihnp4, decvax, seismo, decwrl, ...}!sun!guy guy@sun.com (or guy@sun.arpa)
