Habitual readers of this newsgroup owe a debt of thanks to sdccsu3!Lady Arwen and mitccc!enid for their valient attempt to return a modicum of sanity to this troubled newsgroup. I must admit that I agree with Lady Arwen's classification of the readership into humorists and serious students of self destruction. However, I think that she is too generous when she describes the mingy contributions of the weasels in the former group as "black humor". I suggest that their pitiful croakings are about as funny as a Nazi with a cattle prod. It's not rabbit!bimmler's acrocephalic elitism, nor Pike and Flandrena's apophasic insults, nor tekid!shauns' anorchous political nonsense, nor nmtvax!keaton's asteistic put downs that upset me. No - it is their continued existence (and consequent disregard for suicide as a way of life) that I find so disheartening. So - thank you Lady Arwen and enid. This newsgroup needs people like you.
